Join me in my studio for 5 days of making pots and glazing June 8-13 (the 13th will be an afternoon meet up to open the kilns and collect and talk about our finished work.) June 8-12 we will meet from 10-5. Vegetarian lunch will be provided daily along with beverages. Please note any dietary restrictions. We will explore making functional pots using the hand building techniques of coil, pinch, kurinuki, slab and molds. We will take a deep dive into form, function and aesthetics. The focus will be on but not limited to cups, bowls, plates and jars. We will decorate and glaze our pots using cone 6 glazes in an electric kiln. We will use wax resist, inlay, stencils, oxides and underglazes to make dynamic surfaces. You will go home with the skills to continue making at home and an assortment of finished dishes.
